Graphic Communications

Program Overview

The Graphic Communications course introduces students to the printing, graphic design, and visual communication industries. It offers hands-on experience and foundational knowledge, preparing students for careers in print, publishing, and design.

Students learn production printing techniques such as large format printing, dye sublimation, and vinyl application, as well as design principles like layout, typography, and color theory. Training includes using Adobe Creative Cloud software to develop skills in digital illustration, photo editing, and desktop publishing.

Throughout the course, students create projects such as t-shirts, posters, and logos, building a diverse portfolio. The course also covers the business aspects of graphic communications, including project management and client relations. Students engage in live work, peer reviews, and self-assessments to continuously improve. The goal is for students to create design concepts, manage projects, and prepare for internships or job opportunities in the graphic arts and related industries.
